Facials are some of the most popular spa treatments out there. Everyone wants to get that deep cleanse and that vibrant glow!
However, a lot of products used in facials can be harmful to the skin and body. They can be full of unnatural chemicals and ingredients— which end up doing more harm than good for your health.
Our skin is our largest organ, and our pores absorb everything we put onto our skin. That’s why we get facials: to remove all the gunk and grime that the skin absorbs.
Because of this absorbing quality of the skin, we recommend getting a facial which utilizes natural skin care products.
This way, the pores absorb the natural serums as medicine and utilize them for healing- rather than the chemical build up accumulating and creating further issues.
In fact, some of the chemicals in our favorite beauty products like paraben are linked to cancer— so it’s a good idea to steer clear of products and treatments which utilize these products.

What is a Venus Glow™ Facial?
Venus Glow™ is a dermal renewal process, which is just a fancy way to say “deep cleansing
facial.”
It’s a two-part facial which provides instant results by opening and deep cleaning pores while simultaneously treating the skin with natural serums.
How does the Venus Glow™ Facial work?
The Venus Glow™ dermal renewal works to open and deep clean the pores by removing impurities like dirt, debris, dry skin cells, dead skin cells, and excessive sebum– which cleanses the skin deep below the surface.
After the cleansing process, individualized treatment serums are applied into the now open pores to restore the skin. Because the pores are open, your skin will more easily absorb the natural Venus Glow™ treatment serums.
There are three main modalities used in the FDA-approved Venus Glow™ device for dermal renewal: a vacuum to cleanse the pores, a jet stream to spray treatment serum directly into the pores, and a rotating tip to gently massage the face and spread the serum evenly.
The device is gently rubbed across the face to clean the skin from the inside out, and to restore it with the appropriate treatments.
What to Expect From a Venus Glow™ Facial
The Venus Glow™ Facial is a deep cleansing facial working to remove oil, debris, dead skin, whiteheads, and blackheads from the skin as well as treating the skin appropriately.
You can expect glowing, healthy skin usually within a short 15-45 minute treatment session. And because the treatment serums work so effectively as they penetrate into the pores, your skin will look visibly vibrant as soon as your session is done.

The Venus Glow™ Vacuum
The Venus Glow™ Facial cleanses the pores deeply by sweeping a vacuum across your face. Debris is gently suctioned out of the pores to deeply purify the skin, and you can actually see the dirt and debris that was in your pores as it all gets sucked into a bottle with the advanced technology of the Venus Glow™ device.
It’s surprising what the naked eye can’t see. You won’t believe how dirty your pores actually get, and it’ll be such a relief to see all of that off of your face!
As the dirt is suctioned out, two jet streams spread purified water across the face and into the pores; the excess of which is then sucked up by the vacuum for a thorough cleanse.
The vacuum and the spinning tip massage the skin as they sweep across the space. This micro-massaging spreads nutrients from the bloodstream across the face, instantly bringing a fresh and restored vibrancy to the skin.
And I know getting your face vacuumed sounds like it could be painful, but you can rest assured that the suctioning process is very gentle.
The cooling sensation of liquid flowing from the jet streams combined with the relaxing massage of the vacuum actually make the Venus Glow™ Facial an enjoyable experience for most!
The Venus Glow™ Cleanse
A cleansing serum called GlowSkinPrep is applied to further purify and prepare the skin for treatment.
It is made of lactic acid: an organic acid which exfoliates the skin by dissolving surface bonds which hold the dead and dull skin cells together.
The jet streams that spray this serum into the pores are smaller than the pores themselves, so they will penetrate the serum into them for a deep cleanse.
The steps not only prepare your skin for the upcoming Venus Glow™ treatment, but this cleanse will also prepare your skin to maximize any other aesthetic treatments!
The Venus Glow™ Treatment
The Venus Glow™ Facial treatment looks different for everyone because, well- everyone’s different.
We all have individual conditions and concerns about our skin, so everyone’s treatment serums and protocols will vary (and would be determined by your skincare professional).
The goal of the Venus Glow™ Facial is to purify skin and resolve the condition of concern.
Whether it is for brightening, evening out the skin tone, removing whiteheads or blackheads, or just to preserve and rejuvenate the skin– the Glow Serums leave you with your desired results instantly as they are absorbed into your open pores.
Venus Glow™ Serums
Glow serums are largely natural, not to mention eco-friendly and cruelty free. They’re free of parabens, harsh chemicals, synthetic dyes, and fragrances. This makes the serums suitable for all skin tones and types– including those with sensitive skin!
And even better than what they don’t have is what they do have: the potent power of certified organic botanicals, antioxidants (compounds which protect the skin from damage), and active peptides (proteins which increase collagen & elastin). These serums really pack a punch when it comes to healing the skin!
And now that the pores are completely open and cleansed from the first step, the Glow Serum ismore effective in its action as it is easily absorbed.
Each serum treats a common skin condition and has the appropriate compounds to easily resolve that condition:

Pre Venus Glow™ Treatment Preparation
If you’re planning to come in for a Venus Glow Facial, make sure that your pores aren’t clogged with anything like makeup or lotion.
The face should be clean and bare, ready for the treatment.
We want to clean out the deep impurities in your pores, not just your makeup and lotion!
Post Venus Glow™ Treatment Protocol
Treat yourself like a vampire after your Venus Glow™ Facial and avoid the sun!
Okay, you don’t have to lock yourself in a dark room for three days or anything. You can go about your normal routine, but just be mindful to limit your sun exposure and wear SPF.
After an LED light therapy, sun exposure can be problematic so keep this in mind several days after your treatment.
Any other post treatment protocols would be provided to you by your skincare professional in accordance with your specific conditions and desired results, but for the most part there really is no downtime or hassle.
Contraindications to the Venus Glow™ Facial
The Venus Glow™ Facial is generally suitable for everyone, regardless of their skin tone or sensitivity. However, there are certain situations in which the Venus Glow™ Facial should be avoided for safety:
Superficial metal or implants in treatment area
Current history of cancer, cancerous condition, or pre-malignant moles
Pregnant & nursing
Active condition in treatment area (sores, eczema, rash, psoriasis)
History of skin disorders (keloids, abnormal wound healing, dry/fragile skin, very easy bruising)
Any surgical procedure in the treatment area in the past three months or before a full recovery
Inflamed/pustular acne lesions
Facial laser resurfacing & deep chemical peeling in the last month
Botox injections, fillers, or implants in treatment area (wait one month after your last injection before starting the Venus Glow Facial treatment)
A Venus Glow™ Facial in the last 6 days (it can only be done once a week!)
