Dysport is a cosmetic wrinkle relaxer that softens dynamic lines and wrinkles on your face, including frown lines on the upper face. Like BOTOX®, Dysport uses a refined strain of type A botulinum toxin to temporarily soften or paralyze particular muscles in the facial area. As soon as these muscle groups are treated, the frequent contractions that produce dynamic wrinkles will be limited, and the skin above the muscle will be rejuvenated. This allows you to frown, smile, and make many different facial expressions without resulting in wrinkles and fine lines. It also creates natural-looking outcomes that don't give you a "frozen" face. How Are Dysport Injections Performed?
Dysport treatments are administered in a treatment room after your initial consultation with our aesthetic team, usually taking no more than half an hour. A numbing cream is often not needed since Dysport is administered with a fine-gauge needle that causes little discomfort, but it can be provided if requested. Once the treatment area has been sanitized, a handful of injections will be placed along the brow and forehead area, followed by an ice pack to lessen inflammation and bruising. After your injections at Hidden Oasis Med Spa, you can perform your normal tasks, although you should plan to stay away from strenuous exercise for at least 24 hours.
